David S. Shankman

David Shankman is the founding partner of Shankman, Leone & Westerman, P.A.  Mr. Shankman’s practice is limited exclusively to labor relations and employment law matters.

Mr. Shankman received his B.A. from the University of Wisconsin at Madison and his J.D. (Law Review and Order of the Coif) from the University of Richmond School of Law.  He is a member of the Ohio Bar and the Florida Bar, and the Hillsborough County Bar Association, as well as the Labor and Employment Law Sections of those associations, and is admitted to practice before the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth and Eleventh Circuits, and the United States District Courts for the Middle and Southern Districts of Florida and the Southern District of Ohio.

Mr. Shankman has appeared on behalf of clients before these courts and the National Labor Relations Board, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration, the Wage and Hour Division of the United States Department of Labor, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the Florida Commission on Human Relations, the Florida Unemployment Appeals Commission, the Florida Public Employees Relations Commission, and other state and local administrative agencies pertaining to labor or employment law.

Mr. Shankman has spoken to a number of associations regarding labor relations topics, and has written several articles on labor and employment related matters
